As long as I am this or that, I am not all things.

(Meister Eckhart)

Kids are great. Kids are fun. Kids love life. Kids are very much in touch with their inner self. Kids change at an amazing pace. Sometimes the pace is too high. Sometimes life changes too quickly. Sometimes the impact of an event is so huge that children get out of balance. A sudden change in behavior can occur when moving to a new home, being confronted with the death of a loved one, going through a divorce, losing a friend, changing schools, introducing a stepmom or stepdad, being bullied at school, having a new little baby brother or sister, and so on.

Recent studies indicate that 1 out of 3 children suffers from stress and anxiety. It is a tendency that should not be underestimated.

Horses help children calm down and find balance again. Equiboost helps restoring the child’s confidence and bringing back stability in the child’s life. Horses enhance the sense of security that is so important to children – no matter what age they’ve reached.

Equiboost also provides special programs for physically or mentally handicapped children. Coaching techniques are combined with relaxation techniques and breathing exercises and are adapted to EAT (Equine Assisted Therapy). Autistic children, children that suffer from ADHD and related disorders greatly benefit from this therapy with horses.

The duration of Equiboost coaching sessions with children is limited to half an hour in order to fully optimize concentration and cooperation and to allow the experience with the horse to sink in at the individual rhythm of each child.
